WHY YOGA FOR KIDS?
I LOVE kiddos! I find the fearlessness, honesty, and undeterred optimism of children to be awe-inspiring. I am also well-versed in working with children from a variety of ages and backgrounds.
Yoga fosters the growth of the body, mind, and spirit, so the sooner we can instill these incredible coping tools in our children, the more well-equipped they will be. It is especially beneficial for those with Sensory Processing Disorder/Sensory Integration, among others. (Read more about the benefits of yoga for kids here and here.)
Having completed my Kids Yoga 101 Training through OM-Schooled in October 2013, I also completed my 200 hour Vinyasa teacher training through Amara Yoga & Arts in Urbana, Illinois where I now provide the kids yoga lecture for their teacher training programs.
As a young girl, I found solace in creative writing and art. Once I realized the similar therapeutic effects of yoga, it guided me to develop a holistic program combing yoga creative writing, and art projects. In short, Metamorpho-Kids Yoga & Arts was born.
Soon-to-be offered ervices on Oahu include after-school yoga programs, children's classes and private lessons, yoga-themed birthday parties, and summer day-camps. The yogis learn yoga basics from the Sun Salutations to yogic breathing techniques and partner pose, plus games, songs, and art projects!
